Our Youth group for ages 12-18 meets once per month for various activities, field trips, service projects, and fellowship.
We like to see all of our young people learn to serve the Lord in the space of the Liturgy. Altar Boys are invited to serve in the altar with the clergy for Sunday services under the guidance of the deacons. Handmaidens are invited to assist with special tasks such as managing the candles, paraments (liturgical cloths and accoutrements), and icons in the sanctuary under the guidance of the ecclesiarch. Children 12 and up are invited to help with the weekly collection under the direction of the epitrops (parish council members elected to office of financial secretary). Children 14 and up with the talent of voice may audition for the choir. All children in the church school may be involved in the Children's Choir for special feast days, especially Palm Sunday and the Nativity Pageant.
