Thank you to all who made our advent soup luncheon a wonderful event for both our parish and for the OCMC missionaries we support.
The St. Juliana Fellowship has been sponsoring this semi-annual event for more than twenty years. We still serve the same winning soups of navy bean, vegetable, and tomato orzo, but each year, through the love and creativity of our members, we manage to also offer more exotic soups! From lentil and dried apricot, to shrimp and kale, to butternut squash with coconut milk, curried lentil, vegetarian chili, or Romanian meatball — our members consistently donate new and delicious soups!
Desserts donated were the best ever! The variety ensured that everyone found something they enjoyed.
Thank you to all who helped set up the luncheon. A lot of effort goes into preparing the room, warming the soups, preparing the coffee, and setting the tables. Thank you to all who helped serve the soups and made sure that everyone received a hearty serving! And thank you to all who cleaned up afterwards, from wiping down the tables to sweeping the floors to removing the trash, and washing up all those pots and ladles! ALL of you are so important to the success of this luncheon and are all so very much appreciated! Thank you!
We raised, through your generous donations, over $3000 for our missionaries in Romania and Guatemala. Please read the bios of the missionaries who we support and who continue to witness to Christ through their dedication to the poor and needy.
