Icons are "windows into heaven".   Icons are visual reminders of the Saints who were before us that set examples of Christian virtue, action and way of life.  Icons are not "worshipped".  Like family photos we lovingly hang in our homes in rememberance of our loved ones, Icons serve the same purpose concerning our "heavenly" family. Our parish is blessed with beautiful Iconography throughout the narthex and sanctuary, which were written by Tom Xenakis and St. Mary parishioner Nadine Thola.
